“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Heb. 10:24-25
Throughout the school year, a Friendship Bible study (through Connection Ministries) is held on Wednesday evenings at Grace Church from 7:00 – 8:15 p.m. This is a wonderful time of ministering with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through the teaching of God’s word, worship, prayer and fellowship. It is rare that these adults have anywhere where they can hear the gospel, become an active and living part of the Body of Christ, and have an opportunity to grow in grace alongside fellow believers. Both those with disabilities and the volunteers who minister alongside of them come away each and every week having seen the face and hand of God in each other. Volunteers only need to have a heart to help others know and grow in Christ Jesus and be willing to be ministered to in powerful and unexpected ways. We encourage all to visit a class to see how God is working among his people. If you find that you have a heart to minister to others to His glory while He encourages your faith through others, then we have room for you.
